William Herschel Museum
While the astronomer William Herschel stayed in Bath in 1781, he discovered the planet Uranus, using a telescope he built for himself. His discovery, along with the ingenious scientific methods he used, earned him the honour as one of history's greatest astronomers.
The museum named after him contains a replica of his workshop, his kitchen, and the music room at the Herschel house, where he lived with his sister, Caroline.
